Total Drek

Or, the thoughts of several frustrated intellectuals on Sociology, Gaming, Science, Politics, Science Fiction, Religion, and whatever the hell else strikes their fancy. There is absolutely no reason why you should read this blog. None. Seriously. Go hit your back button. It's up in the upper left-hand corner of your browser... it says "Back." Don't say we didn't warn you.

The rare and elusive weekend post...

So, I've been concerned lately that my dog, Casey, whom I have mentioned before, might be feeling a tad under the weather. I say this because she's been a little on-edge (For those who know Casey... you can only imagine the kind of hell this entails) and because she's been displaying some unusual new behaviors. At the same time, she hasn't been doing anything extreme enough to convince me that she's genuinely in need of medical attention, rather than merely being a little weird.

During a recent conversation with my parents, however, a possibility was suggested that might explain her aberrant behavior. What is this explanation you ask? Simply this: that perhaps, just maybe, her anal glands have become clogged. For those who are worried, the preceding link does not include any pictures, although this page has a rather unintentionally hilarious line-drawing to illustrate the anal gland issue. So, in any case, I may need to take Casey to have her anal glands expressed, or be taught how to do that myself. Yessir. Anal glands.

Somehow, I don't think Halmark makes a card for this one.

You should learn how to do it yourself. That way, if the sociology thing doesn't pan out, you'll at least have one marketable skill.

"if the sociology thing doesn't pan out?"

if?

C'mon, I think we both know it's more a matter of when.

Casey acting weird and on-edge sounds a little bit like the Tasmanian Devil on PCP. For heaven's sake, relieve that poor thing's anal glands!
